The school is located in Los Dolores, a working-class neighbourhood in Cartagena in the Murcia region, with a population of 250,000. We are a secondary school with 829 students aged 12 to 18 and 71 teachers.
We implemented the project "4ºESO+Empresa", which allowed students to engage in business activities in different companies.
We offer a programme in teaching foreign languages (SELE). We teach maths, music and history in English. Students develop IT, teamwork, leadership, entrepreneurship and teamwork skills with us. The school has a long tradition of international projects, as a coordinating school in two Comenius projects (1998-2001 and 2004-2006), and as a partner in two others (2010-2012 and 2012-2014).
We are currently implementing Erasmus+ KA229 "Entrepreneurship as a key to success" with five European countries. We have implemented pupil exchange programmes with schools in the UK, France and Sweden and bilingual camps for pupils in London and Dublin in the last 9 years, with very good results. In all projects there has been a high level of participation from both teachers and pupils.
The school has developed and runs programmes for 21 pupils with special needs and for 26 pupils with special talents. There are approximately 160 immigrant pupils in our school.

We promote values that will help pupils to become informed European citizens of the 21st century.
We emphasise the use of new technologies, language learning and the development of a sense of European citizenship that enhances cooperation, respect and solidarity, as well as environmental awareness and sustainable development.
We take steps to help our pupils promote themselves in the labour market and develop their entrepreneurship and autonomy.
We are an environmentally friendly school with ecological programmes. Last year we collaborated with "Save the Children".

The project will be led by a team of 5 experienced teachers in EU projects. We have a 'reserve' list of teachers to ensure continuity of the project if needed.
The project will involve:
Josefa Martinez Jimenez - main coordinator, English teacher, liaising with the National Agency, school principal, parents and managing the project team, budget and report writing.
Alfonso Aniorte Carbonell - IT teacher, contacts with companies, training institutions, project promotion.
Pilar Albaladejo Saez - English teacher, working with students, preparing for partnership meetings and speeches in English, coordinating work with students with fewer opportunities.
Juan Jose Alcaraz Martin - working with students, organising the trip to the partnership meetings. Oscar Perez Vorre - working with students, evaluation.

The partnership will enable contacts and cooperation with people from other countries, getting to know their culture and exchanging knowledge. The team will be responsible for coordinating activities with pupils with fewer opportunities for all partners.
